We involved Ash Gerges of Creative Management Resolutions in performing an operational review/fraud investigation at a client. This work was initiated due to a high value missing item and suspected fraud. Ash and I worked together to examine all operating processes for a client company. This work led to a KPI study as we determined the owners and managers were not utilizing the company's capacity. Their systems did not provide information such as gross margin by business segment to make sound business decisions.
We then introduced Ash to another client where their accounting information was not reliable. This resulted in incorrect filings and incorrect business decision making. In both these situations clients were delighted with the benefits they achieved from this work. One client reported that Ash and his team changed the culture of the company. We feel that many Canadian small and medium sized companies are struggling with ineffective operating processes and unreliable accounting information.
